The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce believes buildings express not only the artistic attainments and material progress of a community, but its spiritual and moral character.
The Building Awards Program, which is sponsored by National Grid, is a reflection of that belief. Any borough structure may be submitted for consideration.
The award also may be presented for the creation of “Natural Beauty” through landscaping that enhances a structure or project in the community.
This category recognizes the practical and aesthetic use of Staten Island’s natural terrain.
I am happy to say that I was commissioned to photograph the wonderful 42 million dollar building which houses the Jewish Community Center and that my images were submitted and won the award for "Natural Beauty"
