Barn, Blackberries Vines and a Roll of wire

I didn't notice the little roll of wire hanging from the fence when I took this shot. Now I love it. I think it adds more character to the picture.

Still Standing

I discovered another old abandoned building covered with blackberry vines. This one actually seems to be in pretty good shape.

I especially like the willow tree on the right.

Recently I have wondered how it is that every old abandoned building is covered with blackberry vines. Its not as if blackberries are everywhere in Oregon. I've decided there are blackberry elves who scout around for abandoned buildings and when they find one they call in an elf crew to plant the berry vines around it.

Last Days

I've seen lots of old buildings in all stages of disrepair and decay, but this one wins the prize. The blackberry vines have taking over and may be all thats holding parts of the building up. The old homestead may no longer be of any value but my guess is that the family memories and stories that could be told here are worth so much more than gold.

Rusty in Remote

Some of you may remember when I posted this old car in Remote, Oregon before. I stopped and got another shot last time I went by. A lot more grass in the area but still a great old car.. and barn. Plus, everywhere you look this time of year you get the blackberry vines.

Not Your Ordinary Barn

It does look like an ordinary barn, but this building is far from that. Tomorrow I'll show you why :)
