Staten Island’s own South Shore Little League has been granted the honor of hosting this years 11-12 Year Old New York State Little League Tournament. This competition will feature the best six teams from throughout the state, with the winner advancing to the Mid Atlantic Regional tournament in Bristol Connecticut, and a chance to participate in the Little League World Series.
We are looking forward to the community joining with the League to give a warm welcome to all the players and their families from around New York State, in their during their visit to Staten Island. Some traveling great distances to attend, what for many will be a once in a lifetime event. The teams that made the grade out of the hundreds from NEW YORK STATE were Saratoga, Fayetteville, Pearl River, West Islip, Olean and Great Kills American. Congrats to all of them, they are all winners.
